Laapataa Ladies (transl. Lost ladies) is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Kiran Rao,[6] and produced by Rao, Aamir Khan, and Jyoti Deshpande.[7] It stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan, and tells the story of two young newly-wed brides who get exchanged during a train ride to their husband's homes.[8]
The film was screened at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on 8 September 2023,[2] and was theatrically released on 1 March 2024.[9] The film opened to positive reviews from critics and audience and was praised for its story, screenplay and cast performances.[10]

Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is a 2024 Hindi-language romantic sports drama film directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions.[4] The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor.[5][6] It was announced in November 2021, while filming took place from May 2022 to May 2023. The film was released on 31 May 2024 to mixed reviews from critics.[7][8]
Synopsis[edit]
The virtue of an arranged marriage brings together Mahendra, a failed cricketer, and Mahima, a doctor. Having the same nickname, Mahi, they together become Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, akin to the nickname of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. They soon discover their common love and passion for cricket. Eventually, Mr. Mahi spots cricketing talent in his wife when he sees her smashing tennis ball sixes, and encourages her to chase her dream of becoming a cricketer. Mrs. Mahi eventually gives up her career as a doctor and takes strike on her cricketing journey.[9]

Filming[edit]
Principal photography was commenced on 9 May 2022.[13][14] Filming wrapped on 1 May 2023.[15][16] During filming, Kapoor dislocated her shoulder twice.[17][18]

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (transl. Big master little master) is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language science fiction action thriller film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who also co-produced it with Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Himanshu Kishan Mehra under the banners of Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the titular roles, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Sonakshi Sinha and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles. In the film, two former soldiers reunite and race against time to save India from an imminent attack orchestrated by a vengeful scientist.
Thxe film was announc\ed in February 2022. Principal photography began in January 2023 and ended by February 2024 with filming held in Mumbai, Scotland, London, Luton, Abu Dhabi, and Jordan. The soundtrack is composed by Vishal Mishrxa, while Julius Packiam gave the background score, with Marcin Laskawiec as the cinematographer and Steven H. Bernard as the editor. The visual effects are handled by DNEG. With a budget of ₹350 crore, it is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.[7]

About this movie-
Srikanth is a 2024 Indian Hindi-languuage biographical film on the life of Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries. Starring Rajkummar Rao in the title role, it is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and co-stars Jyothika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar.[4]
The film was shot in two months at various locations of India and USA, between November 2022 to January 2023.[5] It was released theatrically oon 10 May 2024 on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya.[5][6]
Plot[edit]
The Hindi language biopic tells the story of Srikanth Bolla, an Indian entrepreneur, who gained prominence as the founder of Bollant Industries, a company created in 2012 to employ unskilled and differently-abled individuals in creating eco-friendly products. The film chronicles the struggles of Srikanth, who was born visually impaired in Seetharamapuram village in Machilipatnam, in then undivided Andhra Pradesh, India.[7] The film demonstrates Srikanth's achievements despite adverse situations. The day he was born the delight of the father who named his son after cricketer Krishnamaachari Srikkanth turns into dismay when he sees sightless newborn. He digs a hole to bury him but is saved by his mother. He also has to endure bullying in the local sschool despite his brilliance.
The plot moves to Hyderabad where he joins a special school where he shines, but his arrogance results in him being thrown out. From then on he is mentored by his teacher Devika who hand-holds him, helping him file a court case to study science as a subject (despite scoring 98%). She prompts him to try to apply abroad and he gets selected as the first international visually impaired student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology after being denied entry into Indian Institute of Technology.[8] At MIT he gets support of 2 students who help him achieve his dreams. During his college days, through social media he meets Swati who is fascinated with him. After graduation, Swati, now his girlfriend prompts him to realize his dreams by returning to India. Again his mentor helps him to start a computer institute which flops. Later he decides to set up a business (Bollant Industries) with his business partner Ravi Mantha, where he gives jobs mostly to the disabled. After a few misunderstandings with his partner, Srikanth is finally able to achieve the level of success he hoped for, with continued guidance from his mentor.[9][10]

At the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinnki, the Indian national football team faces a major defeat against Yugoslavia with a score of 10-1. The members of the All India Football Federation blame the coach Syed Abdul Rahim for the team's underperformance. Rahim requests for permission to form another team with new players. The embers of the federation are reluctant, especially Subhankar, but he receives support from President Anjan, who grants him ermission. Rahim then scouts for players from all over India and forms a new team consisting of Tulsidas Balaram from Secunderabad, Peter Thangaraj from Hyderabad and P. K. Banerjee and Chuni Goswami from Calcutta among others. Roy Choudhary, an influential journalist from Calcutta holds a grudge against Rahim, as he has formed the teamm with very less number of players from Calcutta. At a party organized for the new team,Rahim and Roy Choudhary have a bitter exchange, where theey humiliate each other.
At the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, the Indian team prepares to play against Australia. A player from the Australian team disrespects Neville D'Souza and makes him tie his shoes. Neville goes on to score a hat-trick and the Indian tea wins the match with a score of 7-1, leaving the Australian team in shock. The Indian team eventually secures the fourth position at the Olympics. Meanwhile, Roy Choudhary and Subhankar plan to remove Rahim from the federation and make Subhankar th President. At the 1960 Summer Olympics the Indian team is pitted against Francce, which is considered the best team in the world. The match draws with a scoreof 1-1 and the Indian team fails to qualify. The federation removes Rahim as coach for the Indian team on the grounds that the team has failed to give a good performance for a long period of time. Rahim also learns that he has developed lung cancer due to his excessive smoking and will not live long.
Rahim decides to spend his remaining days at home with his family and has frequent coughing fits. His wife, Saira, motivates him, telling him to not give up and pursue his dream of leading the Indian team to win a gold medal. Rahim requests the federation to let him coach the team again and promises that if the team does not win a gold medal, h will not coach any tam again in his life. Subhankar, who is now President, initially refuses but has to give in to his requeest as the other members of the federation give their votes to let Rahim coach the team, given the even poor performance of the team since the time Rahim was removed as coach.
Rahim begins to coach the team again and prepares them for the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta. However, the Finance Ministry refuses to let the Indian team participate in the competition, given insufficient funds. Rahim personally speaks with the Finance Minister Morarji Desaii and requests to let the team participate, explaining its significane. The Minister agrees, given the condition that only a selected few players will be allowed to go for the competition. Rahim agrees to it and decides to take only 16 best players from the team and leave out the rest, including his son Hakim, who had also begun to play for the team.
Thangaraj, the team's goalkeeper is injured before their first match and is replaced by Pradyut Barman, which weakens the team. In their first match, the Indian team is pitted against South Korea and they face defeat, with the teammaates blaming one another for their poor performance. After the match, Rahim makes them understand the importance of formation and coordination. In ttheir next match against Thailand, Jarnail Singh, a player from thew Indian tea is gravely injured by an opponent. Rahim instructs the Indian team "to make them pay for it" and they go on to play more aggressively, winning the match with a score of 4-1. An Indian diplomat publicly criticises the decision of not allowing Israel and Taiwan to play in the competition, which angers the people of Indonesia, leading to massive ublic protests against the Indian team.
On the daay of the final match, where the Indian team would play against South Korea, the team bus is attacked by protesters and the military is brought in to provide security for them. Rahim's health deteriorates and he begins coughing up blood, but still motivates the team by deliveringg an inspiring speech. On seeing Rahim's determination, Roy Choudhary has a change of heart and starts supporting the Indian team. Thangaraj and Singh also reejoin the team for the match. The Indian team goes on to win the match with a score of 2-1, winning the gold medal at the Asian Gam
